Sumant is Vice President and General Manager of Platform Business. Before becoming one of the pioneering members of the Compass Labs team, he was the co-founder and CEO of Amp Idea. Chosen as a member of the exclusive TechStars program and a winner of the Direct Marketing News’ 40 Under 40 Awards, Sumant is recognized as a talented thought-leader in the marketing industry. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a degree in finance.
Michael is Vice President of Product and Data Science. He previously led Product Management at Sonim Technologies, Danger Inc., and Healtheon/WebMD. He co-founded Vinato GmbH and launched a profitable social network for image and video sharing. Michael previously worked at Salomon Brothers and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. Michael holds a Masters in Engineering and an MBA from Stanford, and a BA from Haverford College.
Ananth is the Vice President of Engineering and brings a wealth of experience in software engineering to the team, specifically in the areas of display and search advertising systems and sciences. Previously, Ananth was the Director, Next-Gen Display Ad Systems at Yahoo!, where he led the engineering team responsible for the design, development and roll-out of the Guaranteed Display Ad Systems. He received Yahoo!'s MVP award for his leadership. Ananth began his career at IBM Almaden Research Center, after which he was the Technical Architect at AdventNet. Ananth received his B Tech from Indian Institute of Technology and PhD in Engineering from Cornell University, where his dissertation won Small Business Innovation Research awards.
Kevin is Vice President National Sales Director. He previously served as VP Business Development for BzzAgent, Inc. and for Texterity, Inc., as well as SVP Sales & Marketing for Access Media and President of Student.com. Kevin worked as Associate Publisher for Variety, Inc., and at Time Warner, where he was Managing Director/Americas for Time Magazine. Kevin is a graduate of St. Michael's College and the Wharton Business School's management development program.

Devavrat Shah is currently a Jamieson career development associate professor with the department of electrical engineering and computer science at MIT. He is a member of the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) and Operations Research Center (ORC). His research focus is on complex networks analysis and large scale statistical inference, recently developing an algorithm to predict Twitter trending topics hours before Twitter’s own algorithm, providing a new technique for analyzing fluctuations in data over time.
Devavrat Shah received his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 1999 with the Presidents of India Gold Medal – awarded to the best graduating student across all engineering disciplines. He received his PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University in 2004. His doctoral thesis titled “Randomization and Heavy Traffic Theory: New Approaches for Switch Scheduling Algorithms” was completed under supervision of Balaji Prabhakar. His thesis was adjudged winner of George B. Dantzig best dissertation award from INFORMS in 2005. After spending a year between Stanford, Berkeley and MSRI, he started teaching at MIT in Fall 2005.
Devavrat Shah has been co-awarded best paper awards at the IEEE INFOCOM ’04, ACM SIGMETRICS/Performance ’06; and he has supervised best student paper awards at Neural Information Processing Systems ’08, ACM SIGMETRICS/Performance ’09 and Management Science and Operations Management Paper competition ’10.
He was awarded the first ACM SIGMETRICS Rising Star Award 2008 for his work on network scheduling algorithms. He received the 2010 Erlang Prize from INFORMS which is given to a young researcher for outstanding contributions to applied probability. He is currently an associate editor of Operations Research, Information Theory Transactions and Queueing Systems. His work has received coverage in popular press including New York Times, Forbes, TechReview, Gigaom and Reddit.
Stephen Gatfield is Co-Chairman of Naked Communications part of the publicly listed Photon Group, Australia's largest marketing communications holding company. Naked Communications is the worlds foremost communications strategy practice with offices in 14 countries. Stephen is an advisor to Interpublic Group, Tapad and Compass Labs and a director of Believe Entertainment. Until mid-2011 he was EVP for Interpublic Group responsible for strategy and corporate development. He led the acquisitions of Huge one of the fastest growing digital networks, Borghi Ehr now Brazils 4th largest advertising agency, Brand X healthcare and the buyout of two of India's top ten agency and media groups. During his time with IPG he was appointed CEO of Lowe&Partners Worldwide. Stephen led the turnaround of Lowe& Partners Worldwide and built a new organisation built on idea communities and reversed a multi-million dollar loss into a sustainable profitable group that was recognised in 2009 as Ad Age's Turnaround Agency of the Year. Jim Warner is the principal of Third Floor Enterprises, an advisory firm specializing in digital marketing and media. Jim serves on the boards of Healthline Networks, Invision Inc., Merkle Inc. and engage121 and advises Accordant Media, ChaCha Answers, Compass Labs, Criteo, Innovation Interactive, Marchex, and Metamorphic Ventures. He also served as a director of MediaMind Technologies prior to its sale to DG in 2011.
During his career in the media business, Jim built and led organizations in digital media and marketing, network television, pay-TV and magazine publishing and developed deep expertise in general management, business development, strategy and planning, marketing and sales leadership, and international operations.
Warner joined Avenue A in 2000 and built its East Coast operation into one of the pre-eminent digital agencies. He became Executive Vice President of the company when it acquired Razorfish in 2004. He also served on the executive committee of aQuantive, the parent company, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2007 for $6.6 billion. As a leader of Avenue A|Razorfish, Warner advised Fortune 500 marketers such as Capital One, Verizon and Starwood Hotels on digital marketing and advertising, web design and development, strategy and business development.
Before joining Avenue A, Warner held senior positions at Primedia, CBS and HBO. He led Primedia’s magazine division overseeing more than 250 consumer and business magazines, web sites and trade show properties including Seventeen, New York Magazine, Surfing and Modern Bride. He was President of the CBS Television Network from 1995-1998 where he managed sales, affiliate relations, research, marketing, and standards and practices functions. From 1989-1994 he served as the founding President of CBS Enterprises, the company’s worldwide syndication and licensing business.
From 1986 to 1989 he was VP, HBO Enterprises, responsible for HBO’s program distribution, coproductions and international operations. Earlier at HBO, which he joined in 1980, Warner acquired movies for HBO’s services and helped launch Cinemax in the US and pay TV ventures in the UK, Germany and Japan.
Warner received a BA with honors from Yale College and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He is a Trustee of Big Brothers, Big Sisters of New York City and lives in Westchester County, New York with his wife Priscilla, an author, and their two sons.

Ashish Goel is an Associate Professor of Management Science and Engineering and Computer Science at Stanford University, and a member of Stanford's Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering. He previously taught at University of Southern California, received his PhD in Computer Science from Stanford, and B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology. As president and CEO of ChannelAdvisor, Scot Wingo leads the company in its mission to provide retailers and manufacturers with the software and services needed to successfully sell their products via online sales channels.
